On this page
The usage report lists everything that used plan minutes or credit in a billing period, one line each: calls, text messages, chat messages and extra AI work. Use it to check where your minutes went, to answer "why is my balance lower?", or to share usage with your accountant.
Open the report
- Open Billing in the sidebar.
- On the Subscription tab, next to Minutes used this period, click See every call and message.
The report opens on the Usage page. You can also go straight to /app/billing/usage. Use Billing at the top of the page to go back.
Choose the period and type
Two menus at the top of the page control what you see.
Period:
| Option | Shows |
|---|---|
| This billing period | From the day your current period started until now |
| Previous billing period | The whole period before the current one |
The dates of the chosen period are shown next to the menus, in your workspace's time zone. Periods follow your subscription, so they usually do not start on the 1st of the month. See How minutes are counted.
Type:
| Option | Shows |
|---|---|
| Everything | All lines |
| Calls | Phone, WhatsApp and website calls |
| Messages | Texts sent and received, and chat messages sent |
| AI work | Extra AI work in chats, such as summaries or reading a photo |
The totals
Three boxes above the table add up the lines you are looking at:
- Lines is the number of lines.
- Plan minutes is the minutes these lines used from your plan. With Everything and This billing period selected, it also shows your plan's allowance, for example "of 1,000".
- Paid from credit is the amount taken from your credit balance for these lines.
The columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| When | Date and time the call started or the message was sent or received |
| What | The kind of line, for example Phone call · Inbound, WhatsApp call · Outbound, Website call · Inbound, Text message · Sent, WhatsApp · Sent · assistant or AI summary of a chat |
| With | The contact's name if you have one, otherwise their phone number. Instagram, Messenger and website chats show Instagram user, Messenger user or Website visitor |
| Duration | Length of a call, in minutes and seconds. For voice message transcription, the length of the voice note |
| Plan minutes | Minutes this line used from your plan, with decimals. A dash means none |
| Credit | Amount taken from your credit balance for this line. A dash means none |
A few things to know when reading it:
- Plan minutes for a call are weighted. A call to an expensive country or on a toll-free number can show more plan minutes than its duration suggests. A WhatsApp call shows fewer.
- "assistant" after a message means the assistant wrote it. Without it, the message came from your team, a reminder or the API.
- Click a call in the What column to open the call, with its transcript and recording.
- Received chat messages are not listed, because they are free. Received texts are listed, because they are counted.
The table shows 50 lines per page, newest first. Use the page links below it to see older lines.
Export to CSV
Click Export CSV at the top of the page. The file contains every line for the period and type you have selected, not only the current page. It is named after today's date, for example usage-2026-09-24.csv.
| CSV column | Content |
|---|---|
| date | Date and time of the line (UTC) |
| type | The same text as the What column |
| with | The same text as the With column |
| duration_seconds | Call length in seconds, or empty |
| plan_minutes | Plan minutes used, up to three decimals |
| credit_usd | Credit used, in US dollars |
Tip: To reconcile a whole period, select Previous billing period and Everything, then export. Add up the plan_minutes and credit_usd columns in your spreadsheet.
Who can see it
The usage report uses the same access as the Billing page. Owners, admins and members can open it. Viewers cannot. See Invite your team for what each role can do.
Common questions
Why is the plan minutes total here different from Billing? Billing shows whole minutes, rounded down. The report adds up each line with its decimals. Calls you have deleted still count on Billing but are not listed in the report.
Why does a line show both plan minutes and credit? Calls and chat messages always show the minutes they count toward your period's total. Once your included minutes are used up, or when a call runs past the last of them, the part beyond your plan is paid from credit, so the line shows that amount as well. Texts sent or received after your minutes are used show credit only.
Some credit spending is not in the report. The report lists calls, messages and AI work. Phone number rentals and top-ups are in Billing → Credit → Credit history instead.
The page says "Nothing used in this period". No calls or messages used minutes or credit in the selected period and type. Try Everything or Previous billing period.
