Rooms, reservations and calendar sync
Add your room types under Rooms: a name, how many guests each sleeps, the nightly price and, if you need them, seasonal rates for date ranges such as high season or holidays. In the hotel settings choose check-in and check-out times, the minimum number of nights and the policies the assistant should quote (deposits, cancellations, pets, parking). Then switch on Take room reservations under the assistant's Abilities. On a call the assistant checks which room types are free for the caller's dates, quotes the nightly or seasonal rate, collects the guest's name, party size and contact details, reads the total back and confirms; the guest receives a confirmation and the reservation appears on the Reservations board, which also lists today's arrivals and departures. Calendar sync keeps dates blocked in both directions with Booking.com, Airbnb and VRBO through iCal links: only availability is exchanged, not rates or guest data, and it is not a direct API connection. Booking.com: in the Extranet open Rates & Availability → Sync calendars, copy the export link and paste it into Ringhum's calendar sync for the matching room type; then copy Ringhum's calendar link for that room type and add it to Booking.com as an imported calendar. Airbnb: open the listing → Availability → Connect calendars, copy the export link into Ringhum and import Ringhum's link there. VRBO works the same way from the listing's calendar settings. Channels refresh imported calendars on their own schedule, often every few hours, so a phone reservation can take a while to show there; Ringhum blocks imported dates as soon as it reads them.
